I have a slightly wide foot, and these in 8W fit, like my normal sizing. I find myself wearing these (in light pink, which is slightly sparkly in a refined way) at doctor's appointments and the airport. I need a good amount of arch support, and these do provide that. Another reviewer said the leather feels plasticy, and I do know what she means: there's quite a few cut-outs and that may contribute to that feeling of roughness. My feet eventually got adjusted to it, and that's mostly why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. The other reason is they belie my age, which is just past 50.
