A more formal heel

I'm not young, but wanted a higher heel for dressy occasions. The heel in these is very stable and the suede on the foot bed, keeps my foot from sliding around. I also have these in black leather, but found my foot sliding forward and my heel sliding around on the leather. I did get a gel toe bed insert, but it doesn't stop my heel area from sliding around, just stops my foot from sliding forward over the toe. I still wear them, but there is a slight feeling of instability because of that. Tightening the straps helps, however, it does make the strap uncomfortable then. I would give the black pair 4 stars.
