Velcro wears out. Sole does not.
I have owned several pairs of these and the Abeos sandals. I have a very narrow and low volume foot. The Eccos do not allow me to tighten the ankle strap enough. The velco on both sandals wears out well before the shoe. I am a supinator (foor strikes on the outside of the heel) and the Abeos heel soon wears down on the outside, while the Eccos do not compress. Essentially I am agreeing with Tillersweep.
Best pair of sandals
This is my husbands second pair. Last long time well wort the price. These sandals are my husbamds favorite. Got him a cheaper air of well know brand not the same!! Will be purchasing another pair as backup.
Have worn my second pair of Ecco sandals daily for 10 years.
