The Best Walking Shoe/Light Hiker
I have worn this shoe for almost 30 years. I am into at least my sixth pair. To their credit, ECCO continues to make as they did ll those years ago. I do not understand the comment about them falling apart in one hour. Perhaps the buyer purchased a counterfeit shoe (?) I agree with the other 5 star reviewer that they are hot on your feet. But my feet are hot in any shoe. I have worn this shoe on hikes in the Patagonian Andes, the U. S. Rockies, the Alps, Laos/Cambodia and the Southern Alps in Kiwiland. They have never failed me. Only a couple of times did I want more ankle support and those were hikes where I had chosen them, for their comfort, instead of a hiking boot (my judgmental mistake).
Comfortable and light
They fit extremely well. Weigh almost nothing. Years ago I had the boots. Walked all over Belgium for 5 years. Now I have the shoes and plan to walk all over Texas with them.
Great multi-purpose shoe
These shoes are super comfortable and are great for general walking or on trails. Your feet do tend to get hot though, at least for me
