Dansko size 40 is just right for me with a 9 1/2 medium foot. However if you’re going to wear these with thick socks you should indeed size up.

Very glad that I read the favorable reviews here because they are 100% spot on. Good style, color, (the green is very nice with the brownish soles). The size 40 is definitely the way to go if you are 9 1/2 to 10 shoe. Comfortable for walking the walk.
Lightweight Supportive Boot
I love Dansko shoes but sometimes they can be a little heavy. I ordered these boots and could not be happier. They are extremely comfortable, supportive, but not too heavy. The green color is beautiful.

I love these boots! They arrived, I put them on, and they're as comfy as boots that have been broken in for years. I love the rubber soles; the side zipper makes for easy on-off; and the tie detailing is cute. Also, my orthotics fit perfectly. I bought the "loden" which is kind of a foggy green-grey, so you can pretend to be a Elf-lord in the forest. Or not, as it pleases you.

I just wanted to add the comment that these, in size 42, are exactly the same length as my Sorel boots that are size 10.5, if that helps.
