Footbed seems nice but ankle strap dug in
These are an attractive style that I thought would be nice for work in the summer--low but not flat heel. The footbed felt nice for the little bit of time I had them on, but the ankle strap dug in. I should say I have medium ankles, it was not too tight but it was an uncomfortable angle, at least for me. The straps across the fore foot felt fine. Returned.
I purchased these as I do have a narrow foot and I love that all the straps are velco adjustable, however I normally wear a 8 1/2 US and 39 EU and they are almost an inch too long. Unfortunately I purchased them on final sale and I cannot return or exchange
I Slept in These Shoes
These shoes are like a parental (firm but gentle) hug to my feet. As soon as I put them on I could literally feel my feet saying "thank you!". Even from Dansko I was surprised by this level of reinforcement from a sandal. This structurally solid shoe provides a no-nonsense level of support to my arches, and to the insides and outsides of my soles of my feet. Prior to ordering I was weary about the sandal slipping around my heal and ankle, but this is not an issue at all. The three straps allow individual adjustment unique to each foot. And although the shoe doesn't actually buckle, the Velcro pieces are heavy duty - no worries about the shoe loosening during movement. These shoes feel like therapeutic slippers, but look great with jeans, dresses, beach cover-ups, etc.
This sandal looks very cute--I have narrow feet. I have always loved Dansko. But these are not comfortable. I wear orthotics all the time so thought the sandal will be good due to its built in orthotics. Sad to say that my feet hurt after a couple of hours of wearing them. I couldn't wait to take them off. Usually its the other way around for me with this brand. I am disappointed. I paid more for this pair a couple of months ago.
This is probably my 18th pair of Dansco shoes. Astrid is the most comfortable and stylish yet. They fit really nice and look great. Also love this neutral color.
