These shoes straighten my foot
I had a highly specialized surgery using pins and screws to stop my left foot from turning out 15 years ago. I never felt sturdy and had a waddle to my walk. Even with custom orthotics my ankle still felt like it was turning out from under me. I put my custom orthotics in these shoes and i am walking straighter and better than I have been for 20 years---I do not know if it is due to the extra plastic like shoe lace anchors, the foot bed or that this shoes seem to fit higher on my inside arch/instep area--They work for me and have changed my lie---Please do not discontinue these!!!
I just bought my second pair!
These shoes, along with the premium orthotic - metatarsal, are fantastic! I use them to work out and for daily about town errands. The support and fit are fantastic. I have switched from another brand and will not be going back!
No More Pain
I love these shoes. The Walking Company was recommended to me by my orthopaedic foot doctor. I will never wear another brand again. I switched back to my New Balance shoes for the last two days and my piriformis syndrome came back. I had pain from my glutes all the way down my leg. So I am donating the New Balance shoes and only wearing my Abeo athletic footwear going forward!
I ordered these in January and it's now May. I hate these shoes. I've been purchasing Abeo and others shoes for many years from Walking Company and I have never had a pair of shoes hurt my feet and back like these - not even my totally worn out Brooks. It's not easy for me to afford these shoes but I do knowing my feet and back are going to be ok. Not with these. They are ridged. They are hard to keep tight on my feet. They eat my socks and I have to stop several times a day to correct my socks. They are wadded up down in the shoe causing me great stress when I can't stop and fix them. I can't recommend these to anyone.
Please don’t ever stop making these shoes! I’m a nurse at a hospital and I’m on my feet all day. My watch usually clocks me in between 4-6 miles per 12 hour shift. I also have had bunion surgery on my left foot. I usually need wides but was able to get regulars in these. The toe box is very roomy, perfect for my swollen feet. I got the Abeo premium orthotics to go with and my feet aren’t throbbing at the end of the day. These are the best work sneakers I’ve ever had! And trust me, I’ve been through a TON of shoes for work.
