Too big and too small

  • 2 of 5
I was looking for a comfortable pump that I can work in (office work.) This wasn't it. The toes were too tight plus the top pushed down on the toes. Also, the heel was too big slipping on me all the time - even after I put in gel slip pads. The cushioning was not as great as I had hoped. Simply walking across a parking lot caused great pain in my feet. If you have small heels compared to toe area - this is not the shoe for you.

I do not wear pumps that often, but this shoe was very comfortable. Runs true to size. A good shoe for WW ladies but may run slightly narrow in the toe box. The Navy is a TRUE Navy. Makes my foot look smaller too. Nice.

Nice shoes, but . . .

  • 2 of 5
The Janna Pumps are nice shoes. They have a lovely classic style and they're made with a rich, supple leather. They have good cushioning and some arch support. Their 1-1/2 inch mid-heels are a cinch to walk in. I got them in a beautiful, subdued shade of dark red. (Some red shoes are too garish, no?) My main complaint about these pumps, and unfortunately it's a deal breaker, is they don't fit me. I first got them in a 9 WW. Though they were wide enough (and it's hard to get WW shoes that are really WW), they were too long as my heels easily slipped out and there was big gap at the back of the shoes. (I wish I had measured it.) I exchanged the 9 WW for 8.5 WW, but I found these too short. The big toe of my longer right foot (most people have one foot longer than the other) actually hit the front of the shoe. And because the shoe's toe are shaped in a relatively oblique angle, my other toes got squashed in the toe box. Depending on your feet, you might want to consider shoes with rounder toes. (The left shoe fitted better, but it too was tight.) It would seem I needed these shoes in size 8.75 WW. Maybe it was a sample to sample variation in these shoes' fit, or maybe Trotter's shoes aren't sized for my feet. Whichever, I reluctantly returned the 8.5 WW. Pity, if they fitted, I would have liked to get the Janna in every color. Well, as I said, these are nice shoes, but . . ..
