ToeWarmers Women's On-The-Go Boots

I have been trying to find good WATERPROOF boots for a couple of years now. These are exactly that! They keep my feet warm and DRY! I ordered 9W because I wear heavy wool socks with my boots and they fit perfectly. Without the socks they are a bit wide for my 8.5 M foot, but I can still get around nicely in them. I love these boots and I am quite happy with them.

I'm from sunny so. calif. and have never had the need to buy boots, much less winter boots before. I didn't have a clue as to what to get. But, since we were going to travel to Germany and Prague over Christmas, (2009), I needed to find extra comfortable boots that I could walk around in all day.... in icy conditions, without experiencing intense arch pain or blisters on my heels and baby toes! I was worried that my trip would be ruined if I couldn't find the proper shoes. I bought 2 pairs of these boots, (in brown and black size 9WW), and walked around in them a couple of months before our trip, to make sure they could handle the amount of walking that I would be doing on vacation. These boots were more comfortable than any tennis shoe that I've worn! My feet did not ache and I had no blisters. To deal with the icy cold temps in Europe, I paired my boots with wool tights and a pair of wool socks over the tights. My feet were warm and comfortable the entire time . So happy my trip was not ruined by wearing ill-fitting shoes.

These boots (in my regular size) fit perfectly. I wore them to church with only nylons and they felt so warm and cozy, yet also dressy enough. Then I tried them on with my warm socks, and they weren't too small. I am so happy to find W width as that has been a frustration in finding boots and shoes to fit comfortably. The only reason I'm marking 4 instead of 5 stars is that I read the other review and haven't tried them yet in the snow and extreme cold, so am not sure if I agree with the other reviewer or not. So far, I'm happy with them.

Although the boots were warm and the style that I wanted, I wound up returning the boots because they were too large. I wear a 10 1/2M After reading the other reviews, I thought this boot might run small, but it did not. (I bought an 11M) I wish more footwear came in size 10 1/2, but they don't. Also there was a lot of fabric where the zipper was, which I think some people would not like, although I would have kept the boots if they fit right.
