Effective insoles

I do have Raynaud's, so I need to pay special attention to keeping my feet warm. These insoles did a great job keeping my feet from getting cold in my ski boots. We did have quite a few below freezing days too. I have another pair in my snow boots. As pointed out in other reviews, these insoles are not for low profile shoes, so do not expect them to fit in your dress shoes. One thing that I think would improve this product is to provide some arch support.

These insoles worked best for me if I placed them in boots with a fur or artificial fur lining and when I washed my feet with hot water before going outside with them on. The main problem I had with them was due to their thickness. They were more effective with thin sock liners on than with thick wool socks. And they were not very effective with hiking boots having thin leather on the top side. They helped my feet stay warmer than they did without the insoles, but not as warm as I had hoped.

Too thick

Warning: These insoles are VERY thick. The insoles took up so much room in my boot, my foot no longer fit in the boot. Unless your shoes/boots are really loose fitting you might want to get the regular insoles that don't have the extra cushion. And because they are cut-to-fit, I can't return them.
