I have scoliosis and a severe arch to my spine, which causes lower back pain and muscle spasms at times. I began wearing this support at night and I don't wake up in pain anymore. I also use it when I'm going to be doing something physical such as shoveling snow, and it helps immensely. I love this support and I would think it will help anyone with lower back pain.

Saved my back

I had discectomy surgery a year ago on my lower back. Still have residual pain in that region especially when I have to stand on my feet for a long time teaching. Or sitting for long periods. When I saw this, I thought I'd give it a try. My doctor said it would never work. I put it on and have worn it ever since. I don't wear it when I'm excercising and need to be flexible. I'm very tall and have a very long torso. It doesn't fit me anything like the picture. When I put it on my lower back, it fits me like a belt. It barely comes halfway up my back. If they decide to improve a great product, I'd like to see them make several sizes in HEIGHTS to fit long and short torsos.

due to a very short waist with a barrel ribcage, it doesn't give me the support I had hoped for. there may be no brace that can support a waist as short as mine. but the thermal layer has saved my sanity. I suffer from a loose shifting spine, sway back (both genetic) and a fairly severe hip injury and my back had flaired up so badly recently not even my chiropractor, who uses the most modern instruments, could get it to stop seizing. I decided to give the brace a day, and before the day was up the pain was gone and I've worn it every day ever since from waking to going to bed. just be warned if you've a barrel ribcage and a short waist, you won't get the support with this brace that makes us stand up straiter.

As Good As The Previous Reviews Said

I purchased this recently based on the previous reviews. They were right, this is a good product. I also have scoliosis and in the past year lots of lower back pain. This brace offers lots of support and is helping me by reducing the amount of sudden movements I make. Personally, I don't like it against my skin and wear it over a cami, but then it is winter, so I have dry skin.
