Swede-O Thermoskin Plantar FXT Ultra keeps you from losing sleep due to plantar fasciitis pain

Speed up the healing process of plantar fasciitis with this night splint. Patented Thermoskin® keeps skin warm, which helps stretch out the plantar fascia, the band of connective tissue that runs from heel to toe. A soft-cell foam wedge distributes pressure under the ball of foot, instead of just toes, and can be moved with a hook-and-loop strapping system, accommodating your exact preference level.

Features & Benefits of Swede-O Thermoskin Plantar FXT Ultra:

  • Slipper style design makes this splint much more comfortable than rigid night splints.
  • Gently stretches over plantar fascia, allowing plantar fascia to heal and repair itself overnight.
  • Adjustable straps allow you to set the amount of stretch to your comfort level.
  • Soft-cell foam wedge conforms to your foot and can be moved based on your preference.
  • Exclusive Trioxon® lining allows skin to breathe, while maintaining the ideal foot temperature.

Difficult to adjust properly

  • 3 of 5
Sizing was OK for narrow foot. Comfortable, but difficult to adjust where to place the moveable wedge. I had difficulty removing the splint when I needed to, particularly when I needed to use the restroom at night, as the Velcro straps adhered too tightly. If the wedge was not placed properly it caused toes to go numb and become sore before morning. I did like that they warmed my feet during the night, as I suffer from cold feet. Unsure if I have Plantar Fasciitis, but suffer from severe foot and toe cramping which was keeping me awake at night - these did solve that problem but returned them for a simpler splint that was easier to use even though they had open toes.

Size runs small

  • 4 of 5
If your foot size is near the top end of the size range order the next size larger. I had to cut the end out to make room for my toes. It has taken awhile to determine where to place the hard foam block under my foot. To near the end (near the toes) and my toes cramp in the middle of the night. To far from the toes and I can't get an adequate stretch. It took me over two weeks to find the best place. The brace is comfortable to sleep in and easy to take off. It is a bit challenging to get into due to the very "sticky" velcro and is uncomfortable to walk in.

sent it back!

  • 1 of 5
I could not even make it through one full night with this splint. It was difficult to get the straps positioned in the correct place without bending my foot one way and pulling my toes another. It fit my foot perfectly by put alot of pressure on my big toe. It was EXTREMELY HOT causing my foot to sweat. I will have to find another kind becuase I sent this back after a week of trying.

Poor night splints

  • 1 of 5
After an hour or less, I awake with more pain and numbness than I can stand and have to remove them. They feel very tight on the foot, creating numbness---should be larger (even though I ordered according to size). The glue on the bottom of one did not hold and the velcro is very loose. Instead of helping the plantar fascaitis, they are creating more problems.
