Spira Men's Genesis Running Shoes

I am a little over weight and have some knee problems and this is why I decided to purchase these sneakers. They are great in terms of putting the spring back in my step. They are great in relieving pressure in my knee joints.

I was having pain in my feet, legs and low back. I bought the genesis shoe from the Foot Smart store and the first hour I noticed a difference. I went Christmas shopping with my wife and it was a all day affair. I could not have walked that much without something changing. The next morning I woke up and NO PAIN. These shoes are a God Send. Thank you very much Spira for a great shoe.

I would have loved to try the spring technology. However, the WW/4E being the widest Spira shoe, it was not wide enough for my foot. I had to return them. I ended up going with the New Balance 1123 6E running shoe.

These *may* be great running shoes... but not based on *my* experience. Beware ordering them from the online Spira store and ordering your normal, correct size. I have several pairs of 7EEEE shoes that fit perfectly. Not the Spira! In China (where they're made) perhaps they use different size lasts, but *their* size & width is not the same as in the USA. Mine were much, much narrower than an EEEE width, and the length of the shoe is also shorter... not only does it *feel* like a smaller shoe, I could actually see quite easily that it's shorter than other shoes. What gives here? When you order from the Spira store, you are notified that the shoes are not returnable unless they made a mistake in your order. They didn't, but the shoe is definitely *not* a 7EEEE by any comparison with other brands. So I am stuck with an expensive pair of shoes that I cannot wear! Bummer.
