Softspots Women's Venus Lite Wedge Loafers

My Mother has worn these for years. I recently bought her another pair and she was thrilled. Her favorites.

I work in retail and so am on my feet anywhere from 8 -12 hours a day. I had been buying SAS shoes for the last 5 years, but it became apparent that they changed the last and have made their shoes both shorter and narrower, at the same time charging more for them. I thought I'd try these because I've had good experiences with SoftSpots in the past. This is an AWESOMELY comfy shoe with great support. It's an excellent value for the p[rice as well.

I have been at my job for over 30 yrs and, am on my feet all day. These are my favorite shoes. I get them in all colors. No they are not a dressy shoe, but comfort, comfort, comfort !!!!!! You can walk all day.

I have a boringly average size 7.5M foot. When I try on a 7.5, it usually fits. When these shoes arrived they were like elf shoes. Barely a 7 I would guess, let alone a 7.5. I returned them for an 8. They in turn felt more like a 7, but I liked the shape of the shoe and figured they would eventually "give" a bit. I wore them today for the first time. Not great, not bad. So-so cushioning. However: It started to rain on my way home from work. Nothing big, no monsoon (that came later in the day)...but the shoes began to leak through the apparently poor stitching at the toe top of the toe! It was surreal. I have NEVER had a pair of shoes do that. Very disappointing. This was my first purchase at FootSmart and I'm not particularly impressed. I may buy here again, but I'll have to think about it.
