The go to Europe walking shoe

  • 5 of 5
I just returned from a two week trip to Europe, and did a lot of walking. Before I left, I researched for a good walking shoe for Europe, and came up with several recommendations including Rockports and Eccos. I bought these Propets on a whim after thinking they looked good in the photo. When I got them, I noticed how light they were. When I tried walking on them, I noticed a rocker motion that made pushing off in walking very easy. There was no clunky heel to clop down and have the rest of the foot land flat after that. When I was ready to leave for the trip, it was recommended to take two pairs for rotation of sore feet and in case one pair got extremely wet for some reason (rain storm for example). I had worn several pair to work that I had bought over the last few weeks before the trip. I settled on the Rockports and the Propet. Well, on the trip, I tried rotating the two shoes, but I kept going back to the Propets. After a couple days the Rockports just stayed in the hotel room. The Propets went all day and night without any problems. No sore feet, no blisters, nothing. I highly recommend these shoes.

Not a Walking Shoe

  • 3 of 5
I really like the fit and comfort of the Commuterlite Shoes and I bought two pairs one black and one brown which I alternate. But I walk about 2 miles a day in them and after 9 months neither pair has any tread remaining on the bottom of the shoe. I've had a number of other brands which I have used the same way and never had the soles completely wear out in this short amount of time.
