Best Shoes for Bad Feet

  • 5 of 5
My large feet, now misshapen with bunions and hammer toes, are almost always in pain when I walk, even in the best of slippers. Then last year I developed edema where my feet will swell from time to time. There is no getting a comfortable fit when that happens. I am so glad I found these shoes. They have the comfort and support I need with the ease of the Velcro closure making the fit adjustable. They run true to size but because they are so soft and pliable I think they would adjust to your foot shape. I ordered a half size larger to account for the occasional swelling and that works out well for me. I will be ordering the beige soon. They may be orthopedic shoes but still look and feel stylish with slacks and jeans.

Very happy

I have peripheral neuropathy in my left foot and have trouble finding shoes that don't hurt my toes. These shoes are so much better than any I've tried. I don't think there is a shoe out there that doesn't make my foot hurt, but it's so much better. They could be a 1/2 size larger and maybe a little wider, but they're so nice. I wish I could buy a left shoe in just a little difference size. I think I'm going to add a softer insert in the left shoe for just a bit more comfort. They have a soft outer sole that makes my steps comfortable. I haven't tried washing them yet so I don't know how they will turn out. At first the price seemed a bit high, but my husband talked me into them and I'm so happy that he did. They're worth the price.

Works

I am diabetic and have had a lot of trouble with my feet recently. I bought these specifically to overcome those problems. Out of the box they didn't quite work for me. I removed the insoles that came with them (to hard), put in an orthotic and a cushioned insole. They are now working much better. I bought the widest width available. I now wish I'd bought them a half size bigger too. My biggest wish is that the Velcro was placed a little differently to allow me to loosen the shoes more on my bad days. So far, these shoes are the best thing I've found. I would buy them again.
