Orthofeet Men's Bismarck Shoes

I purchased these for my husband two weeks ago, since his edema had swollen his feet considerably, and he had great difficulty wearing his normal, laced sneakers. The fact that these are soft and cushiony is a plus, not to mention that the sides and top open completely, which allows his feet to slide in easily. The shoes look nice both indoors and out and complement his clothing. I bought them half a size larger than usual and found them to be just perect. Once the swelling subsides, he will able to wear them with the extra inserts that came with the shoes. I highly recommend these to anyone with swollen feet; they are stable, roomy and soft and ensure you stay on your feet without slipping, especially since the rubber soles do their job very well. We could not have found a nicer, more comfortable shoe to solve his foot problems!

It is imperative that your shoes are wider than the normal width you wear in order to relieve 100% of the pressure off the side of your little toe. I have had 2 operations for this condition and neither one relieved the pain which is like walking on a marble. These shoes work well for this condition when you wear extra heavy socks to effect cushioning. I also put in a heavy duty foam insert to take up some of the over slack. I now have no pain and can walk for exercise again.

I ordered these for my partner after he had to leave work early in excruciating foot-pain. He works on his feet and had been in agony for days. He put these on and almost immediately the pain lessened. I thought it would take days, but the next day at work he was comfortable!

Very comfortable and gives great stability for standing or walking.
