Orthaheel Men’s Ryder Thong Sandals help realign your feet to help relieve foot and lower back pain
Improper alignment of your foot can cause wear and tear to other parts of the body… like the knees, hips and lower back, and can also lead to plantar fasciitis, forefoot pain, corns and bunions. This Orthaheel orthotic sandal, invented by Australian podiatrist Dr. Phillip Vasyli, realigns your foot to its natural position and improves body posture. The motion-controlling, contoured footbed offers support. This thong offers an adjustable side hook-and-loop strap for a great fit.

Mystified . . . . (???)

This is a very fine flip flop type shoe with adequate arch support. I ordered a women's shoe first, but could not get my foot in them. When I realized OrthaHeel had a similar shoe in MEN's, I ordered in size 7. IT fits perfectly and I only need a little break-in time for happy feet this summer. I called the manufacturer and got puzzled responses when I suggested they make the men's D width available in women's colors and designs. It was like the woman didn't even understand what I was suggesting. I left the conversation very unsatisfied. The company is obviously tooled to produce a MAN's shoe adequate for a MAN's foot, but they seem totally clueless that there are thousands of women who would buy the same shoe and would want it in lots of colors (oh well!!). WE are not all Barbie Dolls out here OrthaHeel. FootSmart, maybe you could have some influence on this manufacturer . . . I got nowhere with them, alas. I am, however, grateful for my brownish, manly looking flip-flops with a nice arch so not a total loss. I have problem feet (bunions, edema) and also need the arch support, so really hard to find a summer sandal that works.

My husband loves the support that Orthaheels provide him. This is his 2nd pair because he wore the other ones out.

Part of plantar fasciitis treatment

I wear orthodics daily since I'm on my feet most of the time. Change to work from home resulted in wearing flip flops most of the day. My doc said changing from high arch support to no arch support probably caused my ice pick in the heal painful plantar fascitis. Treatment is wear shoes and a brace at night. These sandles fill the time between waking and getting dressed. Synthetic materials let me wear them in the shower. Now, feet are supported 24 hours a day. Pain is significantly reduced after a few months. Things are going the right way. Cushion is minimal, but arch support is the most important feature. This was a great find. Happy with the quality and design for around the house wear. Some posts said size runs small. I ordered the next larger size and it was too big. Exchange for correct size was easy taking about 10 days. Size advertised is correct.

I have plantar fasciitis and an inward pronation. The sandals have worked well and provide a comfortable summer alternative. It took about three days to wear them in--they recommend no more than three hours per day to start--and I found that I had to let the straps remain a bit loose and not pull them too tight against my foot. Also, I walk without the pronation. The combination of the higher heel and arch support did the trick
