Interesting shoe

  • 4 of 5
I decided to try this shoe based on the previous review. I was pretty dubious when I took them out of the box. I wasn't prepared for what a shoe without an insole would look like and by how incredibly light they were. I didn't see how they could give me any support. But, because of the price, I decided to keep them. They were comfortable from the first wearing and have become my favorite walking shoe. As the previous reviewer said, you can feel the pavement but you quickly get used to it and it does seem therapeutic to have the muscles in your feet doing some work for a change. Also, the shoe is surprisingly supportive. Because I pronate, I thought they might aggravate that problem. But the sides of the shoe are stiff and, though the top of the shoe is soft and stretchy, the fit around the top of the ankle is nice and snug. So, overall, they're surprisingly supportive. I've only used them for walking so far--I'm not a runner--but I think they'll also work as cross-trainers.

Weird but Wonderful

I don't write product reviews, but had to about these crazy shoes. They're light as a feather and make you feel like you're running barefoot except that your feet are protected from the elements. There's a little bit of arch support; any description doesn't do justice to how great I feel when jogging in these neat little shoes! I got tired of the usual well-cushioned clunky running shoes; I was worried that I might have foot problems with these, but I feel that my foot and leg muscles are much stronger because of the shoes. They look cool, too!
