Half - Size made all the difference!

  • 5 of 5
I have been buying shoes from Footsmart for several years. I have neuropathy in my feet from diabetes and two knee replacements so comfortable shoes are a must. I had been wearing NB 927 Walkers but they did not come in half sizes between size 10 and size 11. The 11's were too big & the 10's too small. The NB 846 were perfect in a size 10 and a half!

Poor Shock Absorption

  • 1 of 5
I have been buying New Balance shoes for years and have never been disappointed until this model. Unless you need additional stability, this is not a good shoe as far as shock absorption goes. The size and fit are perfect but my knees hurt like crazy in these. I even added some Dr. Scholl's inserts to try to add some extra cushioning but they could not overcome the hardness of the sole.

Love these shoes!

I have had a total ankle replacement since 1999 and I wear orthotics. Have not got a lot of time to search all the stores for the "perfect" shoe, so decided to take a chance and buy sight-unseen from Foot Smart... I am very glad I did! These shoes are perfect in every way. Highly recommend them.

Looks & Reviews Sold Me

  • 2 of 5
The looks and the reviews of this walking shoe sold me and I purchased this shoe based on that alone. These were very pricy, but I still thought they would be worth it. The reason I did not like them is because I have given them a chance to wear them in, but they are very hard. I have flat feet and it said they are for normal arches - I should have not bought them for this reason alone, but I thought they sounded so great and was really looking forward to another great investment, but I was wrong. My feet hurt while I am wearing them and after 8 hours at work wearing them, all I want to do is take them off. I usually love everything from Footsmart, but these shoes really hurt my feet. I think they have no cushioning, they are are strange looking on my feet, they hurt my feet, even with no movement and are very, very stiff and hard. I do not think I could ever break these in, and if I do, I will still need to buy a very good cushioned insole. I tried to like these shoes, I gave them time to wear into and it did not happen so I will not recommend these to anybody.
