Sneaker-like comfort with support and style

These cute mary janes are just what i was looking for to wear with jeans in the Spring. They have plenty of support, the adjustable strap is great to help the fit, and they have nice cushioning and support. I think if I was planning a vacation, these would be the ideal walking shoes. They are vented nicely so if you wear them without socks they do not get sweaty and uncomfortable. Love them.

I first bought this Merrell MJ in 'Aluminum', and wore it all last summer and throughout a 2.5 week tour of Turkey last fall. I can wear it barefoot or with thin socks. Thanks to the adjustable velcro strap, I can tighten or loosen the fit as needed, esp. when my feet swell on hotter days. This style has the comfort and support of a sneaker, but looks stylish enough to wear with pants, capris, or a skirt; I wear them year round (of course with socks in the winter here in Aspen). I like Merrell's Q-form insole for wearing this shoe barefoot (breathable, doesn't retain odor), but I have a somewhat high arch, and this shoe doesn't give me enough arch support. To fix that issue, I placed a 3/4-length arch support UNDERNEATH the Merrell insole and ta-da! I can wear them for 10-12 hrs comfortably, whether standing at work or walking over uneven ground at Ephesus and Troy. I loved my first pair so much I've bought a second pair in 'Cocoa' for 2013 - I'm eyeing the 'Olive' color too. NOTE: All Merrells run a half-size 'small' in my estimation; I normally wear a 7.5 in shoes I wear barefooted in the summertime, but all my summer Merrell shoes and sandals are a size 8 (and a size 8.5 for winter shoes which I wear with socks).

Nice looking shoes, a bit uncomfortable

I always wanted to try Merrell shoes, so this was my opportunity, nice looking and there was a 10 % off. These shoes took a while to arrive, and when I got them I was a bit disappointed because they were too big! I kept them, but I wish I'd had sent them back...I am wearing them with insoles, since the sides rub off on my ankles making me feel uncomfortable. Next time I will buy them 1/2 size smaller.

Expensive and hard to size

I had to send it back twice to get the right size. The length was short and width narrow. Otherwise, nice looking and is comfortable to wear.
