Great Purchase

If you have knee problems this is a great workout for your upper and lower leg. The side to side action doesn't bother my knees nearly as much as a stair stepper and I can feel the muscles in my upper and lower legs getting stronger.

Good product - poor instructions

I enjoy using the Sidestepper and find it great for getting some exercise while trapped inside during Michigan's winter. I did find the instructions very poor. There was a lot of repetition, poor grammer and spelling. Also, the instructions said to get maximum benefits to exercise for 30 minutes. On the actual machine, a warning label said not to use it more that 15 minutes at a time. They need to clarify the warning and/or instructions.

The ideal workout

The side stepper has been the perfect way to exercise for me. I have painful knees and a weak back and had knee surgery a year and a half ago to repair a torn meniscus. My surgeon advised not walking on uneven gradients. I really enjoyed walking, so this was difficult to hear. I use the side stepper every other day for aerobic exercise and it causes no pain in my knees or back and I get a good workout. In addition it is small and takes up very little space.

nice but...

I have MS and I thought this would improve my balance, but it made my neck stiff. It probably be ideal for someone who doesn't have issues such as mine. Returned it.
