These inserts do exactly what they say. The get placed at the back of the shoe and then trail down the middle of the shoe. They shift your weight off your toes and onto the balls of your feet. And, fortunately, once you get them in the right position for you, then you instantly feel the difference. You do need to place them, then try them on. If they dont feel great, then replace them again, and try them on. Do this again and again till you get it right. Do not expect them to reach your toes, because they do not. Some people say these inserts cause your feet to sweat. I have not experienced it yet. However, I do not wear my heels all day long, either. Besides my feel sweat in my normal shoes, too. So I really do not see it as a problem.
