FootSmart Men's / Women's Diabetic Extra-Roomy Crew Socks, Pair

I have big feet and swollen legs and ankles; I've tried many different large size socks - these are the first ones I've found that are large enough, not constricting, and stay up! Thank you, Footsmart.

Although not diabetic, I have numb and always cold feet, along with circulation problems and swelling in the lower legs. I wear open toe compression hose, but my feet were always miserable. I bought two pair of these, and am back today to order more. They are incredible...warm, attractive enough to be considered trouser socks, and they don't hurt my legs. They stay up and don't bind. A pair of these on top of my compression hose, and my feet are toasty.

I am a large (5' 8") mature woman who needs comfy trouser socks to wear to work (business casual). I have 18" calves and, I guess my lower legs tend to swell by day's end. ALL the socks I have EVER owned dig in painfully and leave a red irritation mark. When brand new, these socks have a very wide band at the top that stays-put all day, at a height of mid-calve (just like the photo of the skinny leg!). The socks are thin and very stretchy - Oh, and NO toe seams! I wear them with dress shoes and the colors are perfect. However after washing (-warm wash and air dry-) they have a little less stretch and height. They do leave a compression mark on my skin, but it is not itchy , red and irritated like I am used to with other socks. I am accustomed to being hard to fit in our off-the-rack world AND I have no medical issues, so this won't deter me from buying this sock gain-but I wanted to provide useful information.

I have been buying these socks now for about 6 years. I originally bought them for my husband who is diabetic but they are so comfy to wear I bought some for myself. I should clarify that we don't wear them with shoes. I wear mine around the house all day and my husband sleeps in his at night (year round). They are very stretchy and breathable.
