As a long time back problem resulting from a 40 year past injury I've found this brace to be an essentual device to allow you to continue your activities while healing from lowerback problems, it restricts motion by the metal stays allowing you to confine the area allowing healing with restriction of lower back yet allowing you to function normally. I recomment this to anyone with L-2 to L-5 lower back problems.

I am going to purchase this back brace because I do like the full lumbar support. I have sciatic, and slipping disc, and arthritis of the spine. Major problem that I may find out when I order it, is the brace is too high up the back and may produce a digging sensation under the rib cage for people who do not have real long waist. This product absolutely should be made in a few more height sizes; long waist, medium waist, and short waist. It would be nice that this be relayed to the manufacturer, whom I hope will listen to the same complaint by others and make the change we ask for.

It definitely does support my lower back and helps a lot with sciatica pain and arthritis. The complaints I have are the following: it has a tendency to ride up, so I have to keep pulling it down; it is very thick and hot; the metal stays worm their way out of their pockets; the stays are capped with plastic but the plastic caps fall off (So far I've found all but one on the floor); these same stays then poke into hips and ribs, depending on where they're inching their way out. All in all, however, it's a good back brace for the price. It does control the pain!

I find this backbrace to be very helpful to me, because I have sciatic problems in my lower back. I use for when I go to work, I wear it under my clothing. Thank You
