Excellent foot and ankle support

Having RA, with severe arthritis in both feet, the foot MDs are looking at doing a triple arthrodesis (fusion) to stabilize my feet. This will also decrease the pain. Having worn these shoes for a few months now, I can see being able to postpone the fusion, as the shoes provide excellent support for my entire foot and ankle. For my particular foot, I use 2 strings, one for the forefoot and one for the ankle, tieing them individually, to accommodate swelling and pain. The bottom lace uses the lower 5 holes, and the top lace uses the upper 2 holes, which means they both share the 2nd hole from the top. The black color goes with everything from jeans to dress pants, but it would be nice to have a taupe smooth leather for the lighter clothing and summer wear.
