Good for posture...

i bought the cincher by recommendation from my Chiropractor... It helps with supporting my back, but me being a larger woman, the cincher slides up an I have to keep pulling it down so that my lower back is supported - it's hard to keep in place and have the straps pull on my shoulders to keep them back when I walk. All in all... I like it but I agree... it's heavy and bulky.

Thank God for the lady who designed The Cincher!!! It is such a relief and comfort for my aching back, especially since I suffer so badly from a severe curvature of the spine, I wear the Cincher when I am not wearing my custom designed hard brace for my back!!! I even purchased another one for my mother who also suffers with Scoliosis - curvature of the spine. The straps on the Cincher do provide much needed relief from my spine. The straps seem to help pull my back up and keep me in a straight position, so I am not in a "hunchback" position, while the part that fits around my waist seems to push my curved spine over to my left side, which is just what I need to help me straighten and correst my spine. This is just what I have been looking for the Cincher...and I am so very happy to have found what helps me the best!!!

I have bought several back braces from this catalog AFTER I bought this one. THIS IS THE BEST OF ALL!! I think the straps over the shoulders make the difference from those without shoulder straps. Don't buy any other!
