I bought these because I wanted some arch support while still being barefoot. I'd had some pain in my arches for weeks, and I'd taken to wearing shoes around the house. I'm a firm believer in leaving shoes at the front door, so this was quite distressing for me. So I bought these, and almost instantly the pain in my foot went away. It comes back if I'm not wearing them or properly supported shoes, but they provide fantastic support for those of us who want to go barefoot everywhere. I'm very happy with this purchase.
