After having two hammertoe surgeries, I switched to the toe guards. The guards keep the toes from rubbing on the inside of the shoe. HOWEVER, BLUE! whatever happened to tan or flesh colored. Don't like the blue and will search elsewhere for a natural or flesh color - My old guards are in the natural color.
